Sydney finds more than she bargained for when she gets lost on her way to report for a new job and finds herself at a lifestyle club. Peering in through the window, her attention – and libido – are both snagged by a man delivering some old-fashioned discipline to a young blonde. After he runs Sydney off, both are surprised to discover she is the new chef he’s hired for his ranch.
Caden wanted to turn away the cheeky woman he’d caught spying on his club without remorse, but desperation for a chef forced his hand. Sydney proves to be a definite asset to his employees, and a royal pain in his butt. Somehow, her penchant for getting lost and landing in trouble, along with her determination to return to the club as a guest, soon slide past his resistance.
It takes a threat to Sydney and unearthing the truth about what made her flee her home in Missouri to force them both to admit their feelings and get her to stay as more than his chef.
Publisher’s Note This contemporary Western romance contains themes of mystery, suspense, power exchange, and ménage elements and is intended for mature audiences.

"This was a quick experiment for me, reading a contemporary. It was a twist on the BDSM club scene. I very much enjoyed the rural western twist. Also, I liked the hero very much and the heroine somewhat. Her situation seemed a bit contrived at differing points and that spread to some of her immediate responses to the kink. It still remained feasible with much of her pre-story unsaid. As far as the sex scenes, they were very well written and very hot with lots of kink, disciple, toys and spanking.
Although it is technically contemporary, the setting allowed certain elements that I do not enjoy to be avoided, giving it a slight historical feel at times. I liked the other hunky males in the story and see future books for them. As for the experiment, not sold on contemporary but I will/would definitely read Connor and/or Grayson's story with updates on Sydney and Caden."

Submitting to the Rancher Cowboy Doms Book 1 edition by BJ Wane Blushing Books Romance eBooks Reviews
- One of my very favorite authors, BJ Wane has a new book and a new series out. Submitting to The Rancher is the first book in BJ’s Cowboy Doms series. If book one is indicative of the rest of the series, I’m looking forward to the rest!
Though there have been numerous complaints on the length of the story, I thought it was just right. While some of the subjects could have been dragged out more, it was a fun romp of a story. Sydney is a 5 star chef who is on the run from her uncle who wants her inheritance. He’s willing to go to any length to get it. She ends up getting lost on her way to her new job, (a common ocurance) and happens to see the goings on at a BDSM club.
She meets up with her boss, who ends up getting her out of trouble more often than not, getting her and her bottom into hot water.
BJ’s foray into cowboy romance has started off with a bang! And I’m excited to read about the rest of the ranch’s hot doms! - The first book in a new series by BJ Wane. And who doesn’t love a sexy cowboy.
I enjoy the story in itself. And I loved Sydney as a character. She was spunky with good sense of humor and a great cook. I loved her interaction with all the ranch helpers
This book is on the short side and for me there were to many storylines for this length. It felt rushed and I missed details and background into the characters, the ranch and the club. - This was a quick experiment for me, reading a contemporary.
As for the experiment, not sold on contemporary but I will/would definitely read Connor and/or Grayson's story with updates on Sydney and Caden. - Plot Sydney is a chef running from her past and has accepted a job on a ranch with two brothers when she unknowingly finds herself looking through the window of a very definite lifestyle club. Fascinated, she watches until she is caught by none other than one of the guys she is suppose to work for.
What I liked The author gave the heroine something to think about besides the hunky cowboy. Best of all Sydney had no sense of direction and when her GPS wasn't working it was hard telling where she would wonder off to. That put her into some interesting and humorous situations. I like Caden's character ignoring Sydney's ploys to interest him in her. Almost like one would swat and errant puppy with a newspaper.
With the sex club, her trying to seduce Caden, and tryig to hide from anyone and everyone, and then hoping to be found when she gets lost, there manages to be a story told.
What I didn't like The characters were not well filled out. The so called mystery plot was lame. Sydney had to be very immature to think that one small family drama was going to do her grandmother in. Yet the writer chose to make the reader think it was all connected to some deep underworld dealings. It was the only area in which Sydney reverts to childish thinking. She really didn't have anything to worry about. Most often her thoughts were concise and well thought out. That part of it was a flop!!
Sex elements of BDSM but not hard core. Some explicit sex scenes, but not on every page leaving room for a story.
If you want a fast fun read that isn't insta love by both parties, this story will fit. Will it be one to keep or read over and over? No. - I enjoyed this new story by BJ Wane. Her first in a new series! Sydney is on the run from an Uncle who wants her to sign over his inheritance so she gets hired as the cook for a ranch. After getting lost and stumbling onto a BDSM club, she observes the play going on inside and is intrigued and just a little bit turned on. When Caden catches her, he doesn't realize who she is and sends her on her way. Needless to say, she is the cook he has hired for his ranch. Try as he might, he can't fight his feelings for her and when she keeps getting into trouble, it's time to take her in hand. I loved the build up to the relationship and the little menage scene. But there is some drama and some danger following Sydney. She thinks by not saying anything, it will keep the ranch safe. When something happens, she realizes she may have to leave just as things are heating up between her and Caden. Will she stay or run? Will Caden find out what she's hiding? The book kept me turning the pages until the early morning because I didn't want to put it down. Now I'll be eagerly waiting for more stories in this series. Love me some cowboys and Miss Wane got this one just right.
